We looked at Roehampton University's publicly available environmental policy - you can read it here if we found one:

We wanted to see that the policy wasn't just sitting in a dusty desktop year after year and we needed to know that the policy meant something to staff, students and decision makers at the university. So to score 50% here, the policy needed to have been published within the last 5 years and demonstrate that it was reviewed regularly by someone sitting in a senior position at the university (because if the university is failing to uphold their policy, then someone should know about it ..... and be able to do something about it).

Please also delete this note.--- We’re proud of Green Roehampton which encourages staff and students to participate in outdoor environmental projects. This includes a range of biodiversity related initiatives aiming to increase awareness of and engagement with nature, an outline of some of which follows: Within the last year staff and students, including Environmental Champions, have worked with the London Orchard Project and a local branch of the Conservation Volunteers to create a new orchard and make considerable progress on restoring an ancient orchard on our Froebel College site. The London Orchard Project is a charity working with Londoners to promote and plant fruit trees and orchards. Roehampton’s Environment Team has also partnered with our Students’ Union, a local primary school and River of Flowers to plant 1000 bulbs and wild flowers on campus and raise money for our student charity campaign. River of Flowers is a charity creating 'green corridors' in London to provide forage for insects which play a crucial role in pollinating crops and flowers. This also helps support our apiary on campus which has three active hives. We have an Allotment Society for staff and students interested in planting, growing and harvesting food. Members ensure that our on-campus allotment is well maintained and productive. A Forest Garden has been created which includes an outdoor area for meetings and performances, bat boxes and log piles to create habitats for insects. The garden is used by the local Forest School and provides a quiet haven for our staff and students.
